The conference will premier in May of 2018 in Athens, Greece and will be held at the Crowne Plaza Athens City Centre and near the archaeological site of the Acropolis. The planned agenda represents an ambitious, fast-paced meeting with 13 sessions spanning the course of 2 and half days, including the Keynote lecture by Dr. Eric Olson, a premier scientist from UT Southwestern, who is the Annie and Willie Nelson Professor in Stem Cell Research, the Pogue Distinguished Chair in Research on Cardiac Birth Defects, and the Robert A. Welch Distinguished Chair in Science Awards. Young cardiovascular scientists will be highlighted through invited talks and poster presentations over the course of 2 days of the conference. In addition, the organizers will devote an entire session of the meeting to early career trainees.
